Dawn Gounden from Renegades Search & Rescue revealed that 30-year-old Moses Liabara from the South African Air Force had travelled to Newcastle for the Airshow held at the Newcastle Airport on Saturday, 5 October 2024.

According to Imran Ghafoor from the Newcastle Crime Fighter Task Team, Liabara was one of the pilots at the Airshow. Yet, over the weekend, he vanished without a trace, heightening concerns and sparking an urgent search to locate him.

According to Gounden, Liabara was last seen on the evening of 5 October 2024, between 10 pm and 11 pm, near Bridge Guest House. He was reportedly in town for work-related duties. Since then, there has been no communication or sign of him, leaving those involved deeply worried. “We are humbly appealing to the community for information on his whereabouts, as he is not from Newcastle,” Gounden stated.

Liabara was last seen wearing white jeans, torn at the knees, a black leather jacket, and black takkies.

As Renegades Search & Rescue and the Newcastle Police Station intensify their search efforts, the urgency grows with each passing hour. The community is urged to assist in any way possible.
