In a festive gesture of bidding adieu to winter, Blackrock Casino rolled out the proverbial red carpet to usher in the enchanting season of spring with a grand celebration.
On the evening of 1 September 2023, Blackrock Casino played host to an enchanting “Spring Wine and Dine” soirée, treating its esteemed guests to a gastronomic journey.
The event showcased an impeccably curated four course meal, thoughtfully paired with a selection of exquisite wines. The event was nothing short of a resounding triumph, with Blackrock Casino gleefully announcing its complete booking, where 60 delighted guests reveled in the meticulously prepared culinary masterpieces by the establishment’s newly appointed Executive Chef, Doran van Zyl, and his exceptional team.
The night’s musical entertainment was graced by the talented Lucky Mathambo, a renowned singer from Ladysmith, whose musical prowess enraptured the audience, setting the perfect backdrop for guests to relax and celebrate the arrival of spring among friends.
Furthermore, a representative from KWV enlightened the guests on the art of pairing wines with meals, offering insights into how the right wine selection could elevate the flavours of a dish and the correct way to appreciate the harmony between wines and foods.
Donavan Govender, one of the evening’s attendees, couldn’t help but celebrate the Spring Wine and Dine experience. “I thought it was awesome. It was very good, from the guy from KWV who showed us more about wine to the singer who had us all dancing by the end of the night.”
