Commencing on Saturday, 26th August 2023, and spanning until Saturday, 16 September 2023, this event is set to captivate local sports enthusiasts through a range of engaging activities across multiple disciplines.

The expansive sporting showcase will encompass an impressive spectrum of sports, including basketball, boxing, chess, dance sports, football, indigenous games, karate, netball, rugby, table tennis, tennis, and volleyball. The diversity of offerings promises to cater to the varied interests and passions of the region’s sports loving populace.

Saturday, 26 August 2023

The event will kick off at the Majuba FET College Phelindaba Grounds in Madadeni. Activities are scheduled to commence at 7:30 am and conclude at 4 p.m. The event is tailored for individuals aged 20 and below, encompassing both male and female participants. It is designed to accommodate residents from Wards 6, 14, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 31.

The Osizweni Stadium and Iziko Primary School will be the focal points of this leg of the games. Commencing at 7.30 am and concluding at 4 pm.

This day is dedicated to those aged 20 and below, embracing both males and females. It will serve residents from Wards 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 13, 17, 30, 32, and 33.

The spotlight will shift to Blaauwbosch, with St Lewis High School and the St Lewis Soccer Field serving as the vibrant venues for action packed sports. Running from 7:30 am to 4 p.m., this day will be tailored for individuals aged 20 and below, encompassing both genders. It will cater to residents from Wards 12, 15, 16, and 18.

The Arbor Park Stadium and the Paradise Grounds will be abuzz with sports enthusiasts from 7.30 am to 4 pm. Participants aged 20 and below, spanning both males and females, will take centre stage. This day’s activities will engage residents from Wards 2, 3, 4, 5, 21, 25, and 34.

The Charlestown Soccer Field and Charlestown Hall will be bustling with energy from 7.30 am to 4 pm. This event is open to individuals aged 20 and below.

The Newcastle Municipality encourages eager members of the community to reach out to their respective Ward Councillors for additional information on participating in these games.
