127 Newcastillians tee off at Fliber and Evotel Charity Golf Day

Embracing the warm weather this past Saturday, 27 February 2021—Newcastle Golf Club played host to the Fliber Internet Newcastle/Evotel Charity Golf Day. Boasting 127 eager golfers, the event held a more profound significance than a mere good day on the course.

Illuminating on the event, Fliber Internet Newcastle’s Shante Marais explains, “The golf day is about being involved in the community, showing we can get together for others. All proceeds from the day will now be distributed to three different charities.” Additionally, Bradley Bekker, Head of Sales and Marketing for Evotel, adds the event forms a crucial part of the company’s participation in Newcastle, as it works alongside Fliber. “It is important for us to be involved, as Evotel wants to show we are invested in the community and are not just a corporate company from Johannesburg.”

Taking a look at the winners; Paul Byrom and Dick Lemmer secured first place, with Armand Mostert and Gerry Marais following in second place.

With the two companies connecting Newcastillians through a successful round of golf, showcasing the importance of goodwill, Saturday’s charity event is one that participants will be sure to remember.
