The concerning increase in crime throughout Newcastle and its surroundings sees community members looking to the police for answers. However, Newcastillians are now being asked to assist Newcastle Detectives in locating six suspects.
The first offender, depicted in the following identikit, is wanted for house robbery. On 6 January 2021, he entered a home in Lennoxton. Armed with a knife, he robbed the homeowner of cellphones, jewellery and an undisclosed amount of Saudi and American Dollars. The suspect is between 30 to 35 years old, medium in complexion and 1.65-1.70 in height.
In a separate case, Newcastle Detectives are looking for five suspects involved in a business robbery at Sports Scene, Scott Street, on 12 June 2019. Armed with guns, the men entered the popular store and stole clothes, cellphones and cash. The Newcastle SAPS have supplied the following images, which were recorded during the robbery.
