Throughout the years, the Newcastle Lions Club has assisted several organisations such as Morester Children’s Home and the SPCA, as well as local feeding schemes based at Newcastle schools.

Working alongside the respective Non-Governmental Organisations and Non-Profit Organisations within Newcastle, the Lions Club continuously strives to make a positive impact on the lives of those who truly need help.

Such is the club’s passion for the community, it is also part of the Lions Operation Brightsight project. Lions Operation Brightsight, is part of Lions International, which provides less fortunate people with the opportunity to see clearly by assisting them in obtaining spectacles.

However, for the Newcastle Lions Club to make a positive impact on the community, fundraisers such as the Lions Charity Golf Day are instrumental in the Lion’s Club’s mission to help others.

The community is invited to join in on the event, knowing that through playing a round of golf, they will be making a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.

The entrance fee is R220 per person, with participants standing a chance to win a series of prizes which will be available on the day. There will also be a raffle, where entrants stand a chance of winning a sheep.

Be sure to book your spot now and avoid disappointment. As Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get. But we make a life by what we give.”

For more information on the day, contact Chey Hunter on 082 859 9311 or Lize Smith on 082 859 9311.
