Oval Track racers gear up for an adrenaline-fuelled spring

With less than a month left for the upcoming SA National Dirt Championships, the racing event held on Saturday, September 7, was one where racers were determined to prepare themselves for the upcoming competition.

Stephan van der Merwe clinched the win in the Rookie Division.  The win in the Go-Kart Division goes to Lianie van Rooyen, with Raeesa Cassim speeding into second place.

Melanie van Rooyen secured the win in the 1600 Stockrod Division, followed closely by Wesley Wall in the second position and Shaun Bezuidenhout in the third position.

In the 1660 Division, the win goes to Wikie Bezuidenhout, with Tiaan Buys in second position and Mynhardt Myburgh taking third place.

Pieter Bester Snr won the 2.1 Modified Division, with Imraan Ameer and Rivelle Rooplall taking second and third places respectively.

The Hot Rods Division saw Pieter Bester Jnr clinching the first place, with Hendrik van der Merwe in second place and Rivelle Rooplall securing third place.

Imraan Ameer sped into first place in the Tin Top Division, with Henk van Rooyen and Marcus Beeslaar taking second and third place respectively.

The win in the V8 Division goes to Flip Gericke.

Congratulations to the racers who dominated the Oval Track on Saturday. And now the countdown to the SA National Dirt Championships begins.
