Tennis is a sport which stands in a class of its own. As Venus Williams once said, “Tennis is mostly mental. Of course, you must have a lot of physical skill, but you can’t play tennis well and not be a good thinker. You win or lose the match before you even go out there.”
For those who yearn to enhance their skills on the court, the time has come to rise to the next level of tennis.
Curro Tennis will be hosting a Holiday Clinic on September 20, September 21 and September 23. Taking place at St Dominics Newcastle, the clinic will be divided into divisions.

Johnny Msimanga, the tennis coach who will be conducting the clinic, explains there is the Red Ball which will take place from 8 am until 9 am, this is for children eight years of age and under.
Then there is the Orange Ball which will take place from 9.30 am until 11.30 am, which is usually for children from the ages of nine years of age, to 10 years old.
The Green Ball will then take place from 12 pm until 2 pm, a division which is allocated for children 11 years of age and upwards.
Johnny Msimanga explains the programme is open to children from all schools and it promises to be an educational experience for participants, with a balance of fun, games, techniques, tactics, sportsmanship and match play.
The cost involved is R500 and people are encouraged to RSVP by September 15 to [email protected]
