Oval Track gears weekend up with high-speed racing

High-speed vehicles, daring drivers and an overwhelming desire to win, all form part of the excitement that is motorsport.

On Saturday, August 3, avid motorsport fans rallied together at the Oval Track. The time had come to cheer on their favourite racers with the monthly racing event, where participants push their vehicles to the limits.

In the Mini-Flexis division, Charlie Rothman sped into first place with Liam Lindeque and Christiaan Rothman following in second and third place respectively.

The win in the Quads division goes to Andre van der Merwe, with Cloubous Bezuidenhout in second position and Willie Pretorius in the third spot.

Stephan van der Merwe takes the win in the Rookie division.

In the 1600 Stockrods division, Shaun Bezuidenhout takes first place with Theoniel Bornman in the second position and Zaakira Khan in the third position.

Charlie Rothman clinched the win in the 1660 division, followed by Tiaan Buys and Mynhardt Myburgh in second and third place respectively.

Cedric Stowe takes the win in the 2.1-litre division, with Shaukat Khan in the second position and Dewald Botha in the third spot.

Hendrik van der Merwe sped into the first position during the Hot Rods division, with Theoniel Bornman following in second position and Rivelle Rooplall in the third position.

In the Tin Tops division, Henk van Rooyen reigned victorious with Marcus and Marcel Beeslaar taking second and third position respectively.

Charlie Rothman won the V8 division, followed by Arista Rothman.

With the August racing event now under wraps, the next racing event is set to take place on September 7 at 6 pm.
