Looking up at the night skies, engrossed in the beauty of the stars and planets, one can only imagine what wonders lay in space travel.
With people such as Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking, as well as organisations such as NASA, earthlings have captured a glance at the magnificence of what our solar system has to offer. Their natural curiosity and intelligence opening the door for us. But where did space travel begin?
Filled with imagination and curiosity, children are the forerunners of space travel. Their dreams of exploring space and reaching to the heavens becoming a reality as they grow older. After all, the scientists at NASA were all children with stars in their eyes.
With documentaries, science magazines and sci-fi movies, children are still as captivated with outer space as they were in yesteryear. Opening the doors to the galaxy, Newcastle Mall is offering Newcastillians a Virtual Reality Space Experience. An opportunity to explore the galaxy without leaving earth.
The Virtual Reality Space Experience began on June 24 and is set to end on July 7.
“Newcastle Mall felt we would offer the community something different and unique. With it being school holidays, as well as children being curious about space, we decided to bring this to the mall,” says Beulah Rajkumar, the Marketing Manager of Newcastle Mall.
With the virtual reality station set up in the Edgars Court, the community can experience the joys of space travel simply by spending R350 at two or more shops.
The time schedule is from 10 am until 5 pm, while on Sunday it will be from 10 am until 3pm.
Be sure not to miss out on the opportunity to witness the glory of the stars at Newcastle Mall today.
