The State of the Town Address will be taking place on Thursday evening, April 11.

Taking place at Newcastle Farmers Hall, Newcastle Mayor Dr Ntuthuko Mahlaba will be presenting his budget speech and State of the Town Address in respect of the 2019/2020 financial year.

The event will take place at 5pm. The public is invited to attend. Members of the public must be seated by 4.30pm.

While SOTA is an annual event, it was initially meant to take place on March 27. However, it was postponed until the present. The postponement follows the shocking news of Mayor Mahlaba’s sudden arrest.
