On Tuesday, December 11, Majuba TVET College officially launched its brand-new website. An initiative that will see the college reach new heights.
During the launch at the Majuba TVET College Training Centre, guests were introduced to the new site and how it will benefit the college. Not only will the highly interactive site act as the face to the educational institute, but it will also be a communications platform in which people can communicate with the college.
“Information equals knowledge, and knowledge equals power,” says Principal, Sanele Mlotshwa, emphasising how large of a role the website will play.

But what type of knowledge and power does the website offer?
“In the future, we want to see students exchange pens and pencils for modern materials,” Mlotshwa says. This will see an enhancement in the educational world. Students will have access to a wide range of information and multimedia which is relevant to their respective studies.
The fact that Majuba TVET College has upgraded its website, shows just how serious Majuba TVET is in ensuring its students receive the best possible education.
Furthermore, Mlotshwa says the website will focus on certain key aspects within the college. These include:
- Promoting the Majuba TVET College brand
- Incorporating social media integration
- Allowing the college’s marketing department to promote the college by updating it on a regular basis.
- To allow visitors to the site to become prospective students and giving them the opportunity to apply online.
- To ensure students receive optimal service
Marketing Director, Partick Ntshangase explains how the website can act as a new age marketing tool. Forming an instrumental role in the college’s marketing strategy.
“We want to showcase what Majuba TVET College can do, as well as what the various departments in the college can do,” he says.

Through looking at the college’s target market, Ntshangase says the college can now address any issues people might face in enrolling. “Through the website, we can minimise walk-ins, as people can now apply online, after obtaining the necessary information on one of our courses.”
With the website set to make a positive impact on the community,Ntshangase is looking forward to the community interacting with the college.
Rashaad Sallie, founder of the Image House, the designer of the website then gave an overview of how the site was created.
Nashveer Nemesar, from Majuba TVET College’s Marketing and Communications Department, then gave an in-depth talk on the running of the website.

From the latest college news, notices, social media interaction to career guidance, Nemesar explains the new website has it all. Making it a hub of information for students, their families and prospective students.
Following the introduction of the website, Nemesar explained the importance of digital marketing to guests.
“As a marketer, this is one of the best times to be alive. Digital marketing is the fastest growing and most exciting part of the marketing world,” he says.
What makes it so exciting? Nemesar says websites are powerful tools, often the central hub of an organisation or company’s marketing structure.
Nemesar also explains websites and digital marketing allows people instant access to information. Information that allows them to make informed decisions through their cell phones or computers.
Through the digital world, Nemesar explains Majuba TVET College is looking at changing the education world through technology.
“Our mission is to empower our online community to turn messages into meaningful relationships. And to embrace technology with the community.”
Furthermore, he says the Majuba TVET College is creating a new culture. A culture which will see a passionate team, having fun in building something bigger than itself.
With the event focusing on the launch of the website and guests learning about the importance of digital marketing, the morning proved to be informative and fun. Allowing guests to catch a glimpse into the future of digital marketing and education.
