Downloading copyright movies
Who hasn’t downloaded a good movie? After all, what’s the use of having Wi-Fi and a computer if you aren’t going to use it to entertain yourself? However, according to the Copyright Act, you can face legal consequences if caught downloading a copyright movie.
If caught, a person can face a hefty fine and jail time. First time offenders can face a R5 000 fine or three years imprisonment for each copyrighted item distributed. Or, the individual can face a R10 000 fine or five years imprisonment for each copyrighted item.

Its all good to use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) for safety reasons, but when it is used to Tunnel yourself to another country in order to gain access or benefits to certain platforms, forcing companies to breech their privacy clauses, you will find yourself on the wrong side of the law.

We all try be better people in small ways, like giving a mate a lift or sharing your last biscuit with a work college. But don’t get all crazy sharing with your Netflix password as it is seen as internet fraud and is seriously illegal.
