On May 5, a Dundee couple experienced a horrific ordeal. Their 15-year-old son had just been kidnapped.
According to a police source, the teenager was kidnapped from his home at 6.30pm. While circumstances leading to his kidnapping are unclear, the reason came during the early hours of Sunday morning, May 6.
The police source claims the kidnappers demanded a ransom for their son’s return. On Monday, May 7, the teenager was released.
However, the kidnappers attempt to flee was cut short. Magma Security, Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation and Cape Town National Intervention Unit tracked the five suspects down to Cape Town. The five suspects were arrested.
The case is subject to further investigations.
