Two suspects are in police custody, following two separate intelligence driven operations by the oSizweni SAPS.
The first arrest took place following an intelligence driven operation on April 26. oSizweni Police area, assisted by oSizweni Crime Prevention Unit arrested a 26-year-old woman. She was found with one laptop, several clothing items, a duvet cover, pillow cases, shoes and a doll.
All the items in her possession is suspected to be stolen good. Her case is linked to a General theft case in Pine Town. Newcastle SAPS spokesperson, Captain Jabulani Ncube claims the woman will appear in Madadeni Magistrate Court.
The second arrest was made on April 27. oSizweni Policing area with the assistance of oSizweni Crime Prevention Unit followed up on information, regarding an alleged drug dealer in oSizweni. The info led them to a house in Section C.
Upon investigating, dry loose dagga was found in a brown paper bag, with an estimated street value of R300. The 38-year-old man was promptly arrested.
