Three men armed with guns targeted a cash-in transit vehicle this morning, May 2.
According to sources, the incident took place on the Madadeni Road between Newcastle and Utrecht. The cash-in-transit vehicle’s custodian’s keys, as well as his personal bag with his car keys and wallet were stolen.
Furthermore, a security guard who was escorting the custodian had his firearm stolen. The suspects apparently fled the scene in a grey/blue Mazda 5, believed to be heading towards Madadeni.
Police officers are en-route. But, it is believed the suspects are still at large. Updates are to follow as the story unfolds.
