Drakies boys hone their cricket skills
Cricket is more than a mere sport. Instilling patience, discipline and a love for sport, cricket teaches youth about the importance of working together and fun.
On February 3, Thirteen learners from Drakensberg Primary School had the opportunity to take part in the KFC Mini-Cricket Training workshop at Suryaville Primary School.

As an annual event, the workshop sees Grade 1 to Grade 3 learners develop their skills on the cricket pitch. It also prepares coaches for the mini-cricket season in the third team.
With coaches from Newcastle and Gauteng guiding the children, the workshop proved to be highly educational and a great success. They learned new skills, while improving previously taught skills. This helps them to confidently take part in cricket matches.
