Freaky Friday: The weirdest conspiracies people believe

Conspiracies intrigue people, luring them into a sinister world where anything can happen.

While conspiracy theories have been around for years, social media has allowed people to share their views to a much larger audience.

If you believe conspiracy theorists are merely paranoid and delusional, Joseph Heller, the author of the classic book Catch-22, once said, “Just because you are paranoid, it doesn’t mean they aren’t after you.”

1. The Beatles never existed?

It would seem my life has been a life. An internet conspiracy theory claims the iconic band never truly existed.

It seems the band was made up of almost identical actors, the lucky buggers.

The belief in this theory has seen creation of an entire website.

2. The earth is flat

While this might seem like a ludicrous idea to some, it seems there are those who believe the earth is flat.

It seems these people believe there is a conspiracy, where people are led astray to believe the world is round. How odd! Does that mean the satellite photos of the earth were staged.

The Flat Earth Society is unfortunately an organisation which exists, despite evidence that their theories are flawed.

3. The moon doesn’t exist

Wait, what?! There is a conspiracy which claims the moon is a hologram and in fact does not exist.

I am a bit confused about this one. Apparently some unknown organisation is responsible for this hologram, for some odd and mysterious reason.

One reason is that the hologram is hiding something horrifying.

Does this mean there was never a moon landing? What did our ancestors admire at night before hologram technology existed?

4. The Reptillian Elite

Apparently there are shape-shifting extraterrestrial reptilian humanoids on earth. Their objective? Well, to enslave the human race of course.

Apparently, the world’s political leaders, leading corporate executives and business owners, as well as Oscar-winning actors and Grammy-winning singers are all reptilians. Even the British Royal family is allegedly filled with reptillians.

According to former BBC sports reported, David Icke, these unusual aliens are responsible for everything bad that humans have done over the decades, which includes the Holocaust and 9/11 attacks.

A very unusual belief to say the least.
