St Dominic’s Academy welcomes the Class of 2018

The school year has officially begun for St Dominic’s Academy, with learners donning their school uniforms and embarking on their academic journey.

For some, today marks the first day of their school careers as they start Grade 1.

While others begin their final year, as they enter Grade 12.

Regardless of the grade the learners are now beginning, the upcoming year is sure to be one of promise and excitement.

Learning, interacting with friends, school excursions and concerts are just some of the things to look forward to during the year.

Former South African President, Nelson Mandela once said that education was the most powerful weapon in which to change the world.

Through taking your educational career seriously, learners can aspire to changing the world in several ways.

To all the learners of St Dominic’s Academy, welcome back to school and good luck with your academics and extra-curricular activities.

For the matriculants, this year marks the dawn of a new era of your life.

As you prepare to finish your school career, it is important to remember that your aspirations can be achieved through proper preparation and determination.
