Lions Bay Energy has taken control of the former KCE Plant at Karbochem Industrial Park in Newcastle, committing approximately R200 million to refurbish and recommission the long-idle facility. The project aims to restore steam and power supply, support BroChem, and place local engineering, contracting and industrial skills back into active use.
