Victoria Road Accident Between VW Polo and Toyota Sparks Police Caution

A collision early on Thursday morning, 7 November 2024, on Victoria Road, saw police and traffic officials quickly rushing to the scene to assess the situation and ensure public safety.

The incident, involving a VW Polo and a Toyota, reportedly occurred around 7 am as both vehicles travelled towards the CBD.

While the precise details of the collision remain unclear, initial reports from police officials at the scene indicate that the VW Polo allegedly struck the Toyota on its side.

The impact left the Toyota with minor damage, allowing it to pull over safely to the pavement along the busy stretch. However, the VW Polo suffered significant damage, particularly to its front left wheel, bringing it to a halt just a short distance from where the initial collision occured.

Furthermore, police confirmed there were no injuries reported in the accident. However, given the forecast for further rainfall throughout the day, officials strongly advise motorists to drive with extra caution to prevent similar incidents under potentially slippery conditions.
