According to reports, the incident recently unfolded in Siyahlahla, within Fairleigh, Newcastle’s borders, when three alleged police officers arrived at the woman’s residence.

An official police source claimed, “The woman alleged that she was at her home with her brother when three police officials in civilian clothing and driving an unmarked vehicle pulled up at her residence. The three officials apparently asked where her brother was.”

The woman reportedly told the officers that she didn’t know where he was. It was then that things took a dark turn. The police source explained that the woman told Newcastle Police that the three officials became violent, slapping her and accusing her of withholding information. They also allegedly placed a plastic bag over her head and held it there until she couldn’t breathe. When the woman did not cave, the police officials are said to have left.

While she could not divulge further information at present, Newcastle SAPS Spokesperson Lizzy Arumugam confirmed, “Police investigations into the matter are currently ongoing.”

This is a developing story, and Newcastillian News will keep readers updated as further information is released. If you have any information that could assist the SAPS in this case, you are urged to contact them immediately.

What is the use even reporting this article? Who does anything to ensure these cops never do this again? I recall another article ” From night out to nightmare”, that constable that was part of a group of 5 that almost killed a guy is back at SAPS? What happened to him? Why was he not charged? Our justice system is pathetic
