AccuWeather’s latest weather forecast for NewcastleLadysmith, and Dundee reveals that while scorching temperatures are expected, residents should also have their raincoats and umbrellas at the ready.

Let’s take a closer look at AccuWeather’s weekend forecast for these three towns.

Friday, 27 October 2023:

Newcastle: AccuWeather predicts that Newcastle will experience a blistering hot day. Temperatures will soar to a scorching 37°. Notably, the UV index stands at an unhealthy 12, posing an extreme risk of harm from unprotected sun exposure. Kool-a-Sun’s UV index advises taking precautions such as wearing sunglasses, using sunscreen, and avoiding sun exposure from 10 am to 3 pm. The nighttime temperatures are expected to drop to a more bearable 15°.

Ladysmith: The town is also set for a very hot day with a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures are forecasted to reach 37°, with a UV reading of 12. The nighttime temperatures are expected to reach 15°.

Dundee: Like Newcastle and Ladysmith, Dundee will experience a scorching hot day with temperatures reaching 36° and an unhealthy UV reading of 12. The evening will bring partly to mostly cloudy skies, with nighttime temperatures dropping to 15°.

Saturday, 28 October 2023:

Newcastle: Saturday promises to be cooler in Newcastle, with temperatures reaching 31° and the possibility of a stray afternoon thunderstorm. Evening temperatures are expected to drop to 11°, and Newcastle may see considerable clouds, a thunderstorm in parts of the area, followed by a few soaking showers.

Ladysmith: Residents can expect a cloudy and cooler day on Saturday. Temperatures are forecasted to reach 28° with a chance of a stray afternoon thunderstorm. Nighttime temperatures are predicted to drop to 10°, with some rain in the evening.

Dundee: Saturday will be even cooler, with temperatures forecast at 26°. AccuWeather predicts a thunderstorm or two during the day. Nighttime temperatures are expected to drop to 10°, with a bit of rain expected.

Newcastle: Sunday’s forecast for Newcastle calls for cooler and cloudier weather. Temperatures are predicted to reach 13° with heavy showers in the morning. A chilly night is anticipated, with temperatures expected to drop to 6° along with continued rainfall.

Ladysmith: The town can expect an even cooler day on Sunday. Temperatures are forecasted to reach 11° with heavy showers in the afternoon. A chilly night is in store, with temperatures dropping to 6° and further rain expected.

Dundee: An equally cooler day is expected for Dundee on Sunday, with temperatures predicted to reach 11° and periods of rain. Nighttime temperatures are expected to reach a chilly 6° with some rain forecast during the night.
