The collision occurred when the operator of a bakkie attempted to exit a business establishment on the busy road. According to the bakkie’s driver, before pulling out of the driveway, he looked to the right and confirmed the absence of any approaching traffic.

However, as he shifted his gaze to the left, an oncoming motorbike appeared, and he waited for it to pass before pulling out. When the motorcycle passed, the driver pulled out of the business premises, which is when the collision occurred.

Describing the scene, the driver of the car involved in the collision recounted, “I was coming up Victoria Road, I saw the bakkie in the driveway and as I was about to pass, he pulled out and with the momentum of the impact, my car went through the wall.”

Victoria Road is a disaster waiting to happen. Although there is a solid line all the way up to the intersection with impala Road, no one actually regard it as though. The traffic department knows it sees it and do nothing about it.
