A horrifying incident has surfaced, shedding light on the unsettling reality of violence perpetrated by women against women.
This follows an incident where law enforcement agencies are delving into a heart wrenching case, where a woman was mercilessly beaten to death by other women.
Lizzy Arumugam, the voice of Newcastle SAPS Corporate Communications, provided details on the chilling incident that unfolded within the community of Osizweni. On Monday, 7 August 2023, shortly after 1:30 pm, the Osizweni SAPS received a distressing report concerning the discovery of a woman’s lifeless body at her residence.
Arumugam shared, “The body of the woman was found, and she had been assaulted all over her body.”
The gruesome nature of the assault underscores the brutality that unfolded within the confines of her home. Elaborating on the timeline, Arumugam disclosed that the unfortunate incident had occurred the day prior to the discovery. It was revealed that the victim had allegedly owed money to another woman.
Allegedly, tensions escalated when the victim failed to repay the debt, leading to the violent onslaught. The woman who claimed to be owed money reportedly enlisted the assistance of her friends, collectively subjecting the victim to a brutal assault that ultimately claimed her life.
At present, no arrests have been confirmed in connection with the case. However, Arumugam noted that the Osizweni SAPS have initiated a comprehensive murder investigation with the aim of unearthing vital clues that could potentially lead to identifying the assailants. Law enforcement officials are dedicated to uncovering the truth and ensuring that justice is served for the victim and her family.
