Ladysmith, according to AccuWeather, will enjoy a full day of sun with temperatures reaching 19° during the day. However, the temperature is expected to plummet to 0° on Friday night.

Newcastle residents can look forward to a delightful Saturday filled with sunshine as temperatures climb to 24° during the day. However, the night will bring a dip in temperature, reaching 4°.
Dundee, as predicted by AccuWeather, will experience a warmer Saturday with plenty of sunshine. Temperatures are expected to peak at 21° during the day. But residents should prepare for a chilly night as temperatures drop to 2°.
AccuWeather forecasts a high of 20° for Ladysmith on Saturday, with the night’s temperature expected to be 1°.

AccuWeather forecasts a comfortable Sunday in Newcastle with plenty of sunshine and temperatures expected to reach a warm 24°. However, Sunday night is expected to see the temperature drop to 5°.
Dundee can anticipate a pleasant Sunday with plenty of sunshine, as predicted by AccuWeather, with temperatures reaching 23° during the day. The night will bring cooler temperatures, dropping to 3°.
Ladysmith can expect a pleasant day on Sunday, with plenty of sunshine and temperatures reaching 22° during the day. However, temperatures are forecasted to drop to 2° on Sunday night.
Moreover, as winter officially sets in, residents are being warned to prepare for the arrival of disruptive winds and a cold front.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) issued a Level 1 warning for the region, indicating the potential for significant wind damage on Thursday, 29 June 2023.
SAWS forecasts that the disruptive winds will tear through large parts of Northern KwaZulu-Natal, affecting several towns including the following:

- Vryheid
- Ladysmith
- Dannhauser
- Dundee
- Estcourt
- Utrecht
- Bergville
- Indaka
- Underberg
- eDumbe
- Greater Kokstad
- Impendle
- Giants Castle
- Mooi River
- Msinga
- Nquthu
- uMngeni
As SAWS advised the above mentioned communities to be prepared for disruptive winds, the weather service additionally highlighted that strong damaging winds are expected in the western areas of KZN on Friday, 30 June 2023.
SAWS outlined the potential impacts of the Level 1 warning, including localised damage to properties, settlements, and temporary structures. Crosswinds and fallen objects may also lead to road disruptions, while the risk of runaway fires is a concern.
In light of the expected intensity of the winds, SAWS urged the public to refrain from starting outdoor fires and emphasised the need for cautious driving.
“A cold front approaching from the west will result in strong winds over the western and northern interior of KZN tomorrow (30 June 2023). Winds are expected to reach an average of 20-25KT, gusting up to 35-40KT in places,” stated SAWS.
Fortunately, the winds are expected to moderate by Friday evening.
