Child’s scream saves Newcastle Mom from heinous ordeal

In a heart-stopping incident, a courageous child’s scream for help rescued a Newcastle mother of three from a harrowing rape attack. All within the confines of her own home.

The terrifying incident unfolded recently in a residence located on Terminus Street in the town’s CBD.

According to official police reports, at approximately 11 am, three unidentified men forcibly entered the house.

Newcastle SAPS authorities revealed that the intruders were on a quest to locate a firearm belonging to the woman’s partner. “When their search proved fruitless, the assailants resorted to removing the children from the mother’s presence, believing that she would disclose the weapon’s whereabouts if subjected to sexual assault,” explained an official police source.

One of the men escorted the woman to a bedroom where she was forcibly stripped. Meanwhile, as the remaining suspects took the children outside, an unforeseen turn of events occurred. One of the brave youngsters let out a piercing distress call.

Startled by the unexpected outcry, the assailants hastily abandoned their vile intentions and swiftly fled the scene. The shaken mother immediately contacted the Newcastle SAPS, who swiftly responded to the distress call.

Although the ages of the children have not been disclosed by the authorities, the Newcastle SAPS spokesperson, Lizzy Arumugam, emphasised that they were indeed young.

While no arrests have been made at this stage, the Newcastle SAPS confirmed that a sexual assault case has been filed, and an intensive investigation is currently underway.

With the above in mind, let us know your thoughts in the comment section below. If you have any information that can assist the police, do the right thing and contact them.
