According to an official police source, the man had gone to fetch his sister when he stumbled upon the assault. “The man said he had gone to fetch his sister on Voortrekker Road, but when he arrived he saw a group of men assaulting her,” said the police source.

Despite the odds, the man rushed to his sister’s aid, but the attackers didn’t back down. Instead, they turned their fury towards the man and assaulted him as well. When he tried to flee to safety in his car, he was attacked from behind and stabbed several times.

The man was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition after the brutal attack, and the police are currently investigating the incident. No arrests have been made yet.

The incident has left the community in shock, and many have taken to social media to express their outrage and send their well-wishes to the victim and his family.

“Siblings have a special bond, and it’s heart-wrenching to hear about such a brutal attack on someone who was just trying to protect their sister,” said a local resident.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of staying vigilant and looking out for each other, particularly in these uncertain times.
