A murder occurred on Guttenberg Street in Newcastle on Monday morning, April 10th, 2023. According to reports, a woman was fatally stabbed following a heated argument with her boyfriend.

A murder occurred on Gutenberg Street in Newcastle on Monday morning, April 10th, 2023. According to reports, a woman was fatally stabbed following a heated argument with her boyfriend. The incident took place shortly before 9 am, and the police were alerted to a serious fight in the area.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the victim, who had already passed away due to her injuries. Lizzy Arumugam, the spokesperson for the Newcastle SAPS, confirmed that the woman had been stabbed to death. She also stated that the suspect was still in the area and was taken into police custody. The murder weapon, a knife, was also found in his possession.

While the investigation is ongoing, sources have speculated that the woman and her boyfriend got into a heated argument that quickly escalated and turned violent.

In response to the incident, Arumugam stated that further police investigations would be carried out, and the suspect would be brought before the court to face charges.

The Easter Weekend ended on a tragic note for this person and this incident serves as a reminder of the importance of addressing and resolving conflicts peacefully. Our thoughts are with the victim’s loved ones during this difficult time.
