A tragic incident unfolded in the Vezubuhle area of Newcastle on Wednesday afternoon, 23 March 2023, as a man was brutally stabbed to death.

“On the police arriving at the scene, they found the deceased laying on the ground, facing upwards with an open wound on the left side of his chest,” said Arumugam.

“According to an eyewitness, he said that two men were seen running from the deceased’s house, both of them holding knives. The men jumped into a Datsun Go that was parked outside the deceased’s home, and sped off.”

The witness did not specify the colour of the vehicle. However, the suspects remain at large, with police investigations currently underway, told Arumugam. The community has been left shocked by the incident, and anyone with any information is urged to come forward and assist the police.
