Water And Power Disruptions Set For This Week For Newcastle

Excluding loadshedding, various parts in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal should expect additional power disruptions on Wednesday, 14 December 2022, according to a statement from the Newcastle Municipality

The Municipality’s Communications Unit said that the government entity would be switching off 132kv lines to clear vegetation grown under the lines to prevent unforeseen breakdowns.

The scheduled disruptions will take place between the hours of 8 am and 1 pm.

Furthermore, the affected areas are as follows:

  1. Newcastle Central
  2. Newcastle mall
  3. Equarand
  4. Arborpark
  5. Vlam
  6. Private Hospital
  7. Upper CBD
  8. Airport area
  9. Provincial Hospital
  10. Industrial Area by Gutenberg
  11. Kwamaťhukuza
  12. Caltex gaŕage

“Residents are urged to regard all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the outage,” said the Communications Unit.
