The search for the missing Catholic Priest, Father Bheki Joseph Monamoholo Motloung has come to a tragic end.
The Catholic Archdiocese of Durban said that it was with great sadness, that Father Motloung’s body was found on Friday evening, 1 July 2022, at the Bergville Dam.
As previously reported, father Motloung went missing on 5 June 2022. Following his disappearance, the Newcastillian – Online News reported that KZN Police Spokesperson, Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo explained that the Priest vanished after leaving a house in Dukuza, Bergville.

“We thank God for having found his body and we believe that his soul now rests with him in perfect peace,” said the Vicar General of the Archdiocese, Father Elias Zondi.
Following the discovery of the Bergville Priest’s body, Father Zondi added, “We ask that you continue praying for his soul to rest with God, and for his family as they go through this difficult time.”
