Local hospital searches for deceased patients’ families and friends, can you help?

The Madadeni Regional Hospital is urgently seeking assistance from the community, following the deaths of two of its patients.

Regarding the first deceased patient, Chief Executive Officer for the Hospital, Mrs HSL Khanyi said that the hospital is searching for the relatives, family, and friends of Den Govender who passed away on 4 March 2022.

“We have visited the address that was provided to the hospital on the day of his admission, unfortunately, there was nobody responsible for him,” she said.

Adding to this, Khanyi pointed out that the cellphone number provided is on voicemail.

Regarding the second patient, Khanyi said the Madadeni Regional Hospital is also looking for family and friends of 42-year-old Dumsane Nkosi, who passed away on 11 March 2022. “There were no contact details of next of kin provided on his admission. We have visited the physical address that was provided to the hospital on the day of his admission, unfortunately, there was nobody responsible for him.”

Should anyone have any information that could assist the Madadeni Regional Hospital in reuniting the deceased patients with their family or friends, they are urged to step forward.
