Attaining 80.51 per cent, Amajuba District comes in just being uMgungundlovu District.

Extremely pleased with the pass rate, Cllr Nkosi emphasised the importance of continuous hard work.

“We hope they keep their eyes on their ambition and focus on achieving more than they already mastered.”

However, Cllr Nkosi believed the Department of Education should be applauded for their efforts in making the pass rate possible.

Cllr Nkosi said it was also imperative to applaud the department’s former director, Rev Sithole, and its current director Mr M. Khumalo.

Their guidance ensured the Amajuba District excelled academically.

For those who did not make it through Grade 12, Cllr Nkosi enthused that this was not the end.

“They must use the opportunities presented to them in order to better themselves.”
